The Tumbleweed Student Oboe Reed is more refined than our beginner level profiled reeds and is made for the player with 1-3 years of experience. Like most of the reeds we offer, they are free-blowing and vibrant, yet stable enough to keep from having to bite or pinch.
–size of tip opening: large
–crow: compact and focused, contains a hint of the 2nd octave C
–a resistant reed with more body
–needs a strong embouchure to play, but the reed is still vibrant and free-blowing
–a very covered and consistent reed
